No matter where you stand on the sub vs. dub debate, there are a few things the English dub undeniably got right:
The original Japanese version of the show features an incredible, emotional orchestral score. In the English dub, 4Kids replaced almost all of it with generic, repetitive synthesizer music. They even famously removed the song "Live and Learn" from the climax of the Sonic Adventure 2 arc!
This dub introduced us to the legendary voice cast from 4Kids. Mike Pollock’s spectacular performance as Dr. Eggman was so perfectly bombastic that SEGA kept him as the official voice for the video games long after the show ended!
